From My Heart

I live in the beautiful Northwoods near Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin. My fiber studio overlooks Clear Lake.

I have always been a creative soul. My background is in teaching kindergarten. After I retired from teaching when my children were young, I was always doing some kind of art.  About 4 years ago, I started playing with felting fibers and knew this was the creative outlet I was looking for!

Since then, I have taken several courses and read as many books on felting as I can. I have learned how to felt bags, flowers, vessels, pillows, jewelry, landscapes, lampshades and much more. Making felted fabric for stools and benches that my husband Tom makes has been a favorite. My work has been described as Scandinavian inspired, folk art, joyful and floral.
